Lecture 1

From Marcel Duchamp to Erik Hobijn, from creating art works to moving chess pieces, Arjen Mulder will look back at a history of visual arts from a playful arts perspective. In his talk he will zoom in on the playful arts of the 80s generation and place this in a broader context. What is the relation between Survival Research Laboratory in the US and the installations of media and machine artist Erik Hobijn? How playful is contemporary art?
